Jackie & Dwayne | Intimate New York City Nuptials

I knew from the moment Jackie first emailed me that we were going to be fast friends! She and Dwayne are some of the kindest, warmest people I’ve ever had the privilege to photograph, and today they got married! Surrounded by a small group of their loved ones, Jackie and Dwayne became husband and wife. What an honor it was to capture their day.

The day started early, when I met the couple downtown at the marriage bureau. We made our way through the process until landing in the famous hands of Edwina, an institution of the marriage bureau and one of the officiants. The ceremony went quickly as they exchanged rings and a kiss! We then ventured outside into the arctic temperatures to head to their next destination and to capture some sweet moments along the way.

Although their lunch spot was only about a half of a mile away, after a few minutes in the freeing cold, we ducked into Woops! on Worth Street to warm up with some coffee and hot coco! This pit stop actually proved to be a perfect location for some portraits and cute moments between Jackie and Dwayne. Once we had thawed out and felt like we could make the rest of the journey to The Odeon we proceeded. Arriving finally around 11 – just in time for their brunch reservation!

Last night, while confirming last minute details, she shared, “we chose NYC to get married in because we love the energy and the diversity and try to take advantage of all it has to offer, from the arts to the restaurants! It’s the greatest city in the world!” I couldn’t agree more. There is something so electric about New York City, and something so special about saying “We do!” here.

I am so thrilled to have been a part of Jackie and Dwayne’s special (and very cold) day!

Kayla & Bryan: A Sweet, Hershey Proposal

So this weekend was pretty special and pretty spectacular. One of my dearest friends, Kayla, was proposed to and I got to capture the moment she said “Yes!” Bryan, her now fiancé, reached out to me a few weeks ago asking if I would be there to photograph the big moment. My immediate and sincere response was “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

I woke up early Saturday morning and made the trip down to Hershey, Pennsylvania. I got there early and sipped on a sweet, hot chocolate while I waited for them to make their way from lunch to the spot in the gardens of The Hotel Hershey.

There, under one of the garden’s gazebos, Bryan showed Kayla a short video detailing all of the ways she has changed his life. He then dropped to one knee and presented Kayla with a marriage proposal, accompanied by a beautiful, heirloom ring!

I ugly cried through the entire thing. And I will ugly cry through their entire wedding. Just look at them! So precious! And seriously, the best friends ever.

After the proposal, we headed back to Kayla’s home where she was surprised by family and friends! The entire weekend was a delightful celebration of love and friendship. I really can’t wait for these two to tie the knot!

Christina & Dan: A Sweet NYC Elopement

Christina and Dan eloped today in New York City, and I’m so honored they chose me to capture these special moments! We began the day at the New York City Marriage Bureau, and it was the quietest I have ever seen it. We breezed right through the process. After these two got hitched we went for a little stroll around the courts and into City Hall Park. I could not get over how perfect the late morning light was. The warm light shinning through the trees made for some stunning portraits. It was a lovely autumn day, for an absolutely lovely couple.

A Family Trip to Jones Family Farms

Today, a day when most of the nation is hustling and bustling to get their Black Friday on, my family and I headed out of the fray to harvest our very own Christmas tree!

Stuffed to the gills after a delicious Thanksgiving feast the night before, and armed with a thermos of Glühwein, we loaded up the cars and ventured to Shelton, CT, home of Jones Family Farms. There were several varieties of trees to choose from, but we eventually settled on a classic, and very adorable, Balsam Fir. I can’t wait to see her all done up and decorated!

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I look forward to continuing the tradition and eventually sharing it with my own little ones!

J&M: A Stunning Westchester County Wedding

It was such a treat shooting with Amber Marlow back in July to capture J & M’s beautiful Westchester County wedding. Between the clouds acting as nature’s most perfect beauty box and the wind sweeping J’s veil into a beautiful tornado of tulle around her, I am thrilled with these sweet moments I captured.

Hollie & Chris: A Houston TX Wedding

Allow me to introduce Mr. & Mrs. Barker! This wedding was particularly special to me because the groom is my Uncle Chris and the bride is my new Aunt Hollie!

Hollie & Chris married in a small ceremony surrounded by family and friends at Las Alamedas restaurant in Katy, TX. The fajitas were deeelish, but not to be outdone by the scrumptious mini Nothing Bundt Cakes. I’m so thankful to have been a part of this awesome day.
